After analysis it is noticed that
the result of class IX and XI of 2021 has fallen down compared to the previous
year 2020. So there needs some serious planning and its implementation at
vidyalaya level.
In regard to the above concerns,
the following steps and strategies can be helpful to improve the result of the
year 2022-23.
1. Meetings
and interactions with subject teachers: There needs continuous coordination and
interactions of principal and vice principals with the concerned teachers
regarding result improvement and better performance of students. The hindrances
of any sort must be dealt with collectively and proactively.
2. Meetings
and interactions with the students/parents: The students/parents must be
motivated and sensitized about the importance of regular classes. They must
invariably be partnered and collaborated in achieving the set target of quality
result.
3. Home time
table to be framed for students: The students should be provided home time
table. The parents should be counselled to monitor their wards. The parents
should also be counselled to take care of the health, wellness and routine of
their wards.
4. The
remedial classes to be arranged: The subject teachers will identify the
students with special needs. The teacher should plan and strategize for both
high performers and low performers. These students should specifically be dealt
to perform better to their level.
5. Practice
material as per the level of students: The students should be provided the practice
material as per the needs and level. If the student is high performer, he
should be provided some creative and high level materials/ exercises whereas
the low performer student should be given limited and important practice
material. This will rather boost their confidence to do better and to take more
challenging task.
6. Continuous Evaluation/assessment:
It is recommended that the assessment should be part of the teaching and
learning. After regular and routine classes, there should be the provision of
short tests of limited time and marks. This will provide space and opportunity
for revising and retrospecting of what has been taught and learnt. It will
undoubtedly result in high performance of students.
7. Observation
of the classes: The classes should be regularly observed and positive feedback
should be given to teachers.
8. The monitoring
of the progress of students: The progress of the students in the subjects
should be regularly monitored and analysed. The strategies must be reoriented
if the previous planning does not work well. The need and traits of the
students must be prioritized while making the plans. The progress report card should
be prepared for the purpose.
9. Individual focus
to students: As for as feasible, individual and specific focus and attention to
be given to the students. Their constraints in achieving the desired target
should be diagnosed and immediately remediated.
10. To Develop
confidence and cordiality with students: The students must feel at ease and
comfortable with the teachers, subjects, administrators and vidyalaya
environment. Such efforts are to be made where students express their anxieties
and problems to teachers.
11. The peer
tutoring should encouraged: We learn more and perform better in acquainted and
familiar surroundings and situations. All efforts should be made to motivate
the bright students to extend helping hands towards their fellow students. This
will serve many purposes at once. This will boost morale of the tutoring
students and generate interests in other students towards topic and study. This
will also provide time to teacher to monitor the class and focus on some more
useful tasks.
12. Optimum teachers
and taught interactions: The vidyalaya time table and activities should be
planned in the way where the teachers and taught get optimum time to interact. The
teachers should not be engaged in the lesser important duties. This is why
because the teachers and taught are at the very pivot of whole of academic
arena and environment. Engaging teachers and students in lesser important
activities rather distracts and deviates them from the core goals.
